2019 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir

2019 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir

Dating back to 1971, Hyland is one of Oregon's oldest and largest vineyards. In the Coastal Range foothills, it sits at 600 - 800 feet of elevation which allows for a longer, uniform ripening period. Soils include the volcanic Jory on which the ancient self-rooted Pommard, Wädenswil, and Coury Pinot Noir clones thrive.

Tasting Notes

The nose of this Pinot Noir exhibits a fine balance of red fruits and subtle hints of black tea. On the palate, notes of tart cherries, vanilla and nutty spices come together to form a lingering finish. Fine tannins surround through this medium-bodied wine allowing it to age nicely through 2026.
