2014 Cellar Crawl 18 Bottle Collection
Continuing the spirit of alliance originated by Oregon’s wine pioneers, colleagues from a half-dozen wineries began an effort 20 years ago to carry on the tradition of sharing experience, knowledge, and our abiding passion for Pinot noir. At that time, in an unassuming corner of the Willamette Valley, Cellar Crawl was born.
Of the many experiments conducted over 2 decades, our most recent involved trading fruit between each other. 6 wineries, paired in sets of 3, to produce wine from 6 different vineyards, resulting in an 18-bottle set.
The esteemed winemakers that were involved in this most recent experiment were: Ken Wright of Ken Wright Cellars, Mike Etzel of Beaux Fréres, Ben Casteel of Bethel Heights Vineyard, Steve Doerner of Cristom Vineyards, Lynn Penner-Ash of Penner-Ash Wine Cellars, and your very own Laurent Montalieu of Soléna Estate.
